Foti International Fireworks is in final preparations for its four nation tour showcasing their ‘Welcome to Australia’ fireworks display. The tour will include Korea on July 30th, August dates in Japan (13th) and Poland (13th), and September in England (25th).
The soundtracks for the shows have been arranged by Tino Foti, music director for most of Foti’s award winner spectaculars.
“We really wanted to showcase the best of Australia in the display design and with the musical arrangements”, said Tino. “The work of David Hirschfelder for the soundtrack to the movie ‘Australia’ provides some intense pieces, with ‘Welcome to Australia’ with David Gulpilil and ‘Fire In The Sky’ setting the mood and providing perfect bookends to the display design. We accompanied these powerful works with ‘The Rush’, his piece with John Butler plus distinct didgeridoo pieces and songs from some well known Australian artists.”
According to Tino each display’s design will be unique. “The displays are in different environments and for different events, so we have accordingly given each show an individual touch. You’ll see this in the way we use the colours and effects in combination with the firing stage. The common thread across the shows are our goals of showcasing Australia, our design and to be the best pyrotechnic entertainers possible.”
Foti will also present a non-musical show at the Spanish coastal city of Tarragona on July 8th.
These international productions all lead towards Foti’s annual “Mega-Show on the Bosphorous” for Turkey’s National Day Celebration, produced for the City of Istanbul.
Details of each show will published nearer to their dates.
