Fresh from the APEC display on Sydney Harbour, and renowned worldwide for the Sydney New Year's Eve
extravaganza displays, Foti International Fireworks will deliver the biggest display ever staged in
historic Istanbul, Turkey.
The show will include 8 firing barges along the 4km-river route from the majestic Maiden Tower to the
famous Bosphorous Bridge and will include an 800metre waterfall of fireworks.
The show will be seen across the City, a municipality of 14 million people, with 5 rooftop fireworks
from around the central Taksim Square.
Republic Day on October 29 in Turkey celebrates the founding of the modern Republic of Turkey in 1923
by hero and "father of the Turks", Kemal Atatürk.
"It will be very symbolic to mark Republic Day on this majestic place that is the connection between
the worlds of East and West, the dividing waterway of Asia and Europe, and with an Australia team
helping mark the celebrations for the Turkish people," Fortunato Foti said.
The Australian team in Istanbul will comprise 22 people, with Australian designed and choreographed
fireworks set to the music of famed Turkish composer Tuluyhan Ugurlu.

Twenty-one world leaders attending this year's APEC meeting in Sydney were treated to a spectacular pyrotechnic finale at the APEC Gala Dinner at
the Sydney Opera House hosted by Prime Minister John Howard.
The display was launched from five floating barges creating a pyrotechnic tableaux between Fort Denison
and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The five minute finale required specific colour designs that represented
participating countries. The "Colours of the World" finale was punctuated by a presentation of four
specially designed and Foti manufactured "APEC Signature Shells", featuring a representation of the APEC
logo colours (yellow, orange and red) in the three layers. The shells, launched by a sixth barge,
appeared above the Sydney Harbour Bridge, signally the end to this international event.

Foti International Fireworks began 2007 with spectacular signature firework displays
in both Sydney and Melbourne.
In the 75th Anniversary year of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Foti produced
a trademark display that maintains Sydney's New Year celebrations as the place to be on
December 31st. This year's display, to the theme "A Diamond Night in the Emerald City"
included a record number of firing locations for both the 9pm and midnight shows with six barges in total
as well as 10 City rooftops and pontoons, making it Sydney's largest display ever.
Melbourne's display incorporated locations on the Yarra River (3 barges), New Quays, and Kings Domain. The display also included fireworks off the
roof of the city's new Eureka Tower, making it Australia's highest fireworks display.
Both displays reinforced Foti's position as Australia's premier fireworks company where seamless pyrotechnic project management
and premium fireworks combined to produce thrilling spectacles for Australia and the world.
The beginning of the New Year also saw the company display at Sydney's Darling Harbour for Australia's National Day (Australia Day, January 26) where Foti
produced what organisers described as the most creative, artistic and spectacular Australia Day fireworks ever seen at Darling Harbour.
The success of the New Year/ National Day period caps off a successful 2006 for Foti, which included displays
in Melbourne (Volvo Around the World Race), Perth (Sky Works), Canberra (Sky Fire), Montreal Canada, Brisbane (River Fire), Hong Kong, Macau, and Sydney
(NRL Grand Final, Australian Idol).
Foti would again like to thanks the professionalism and dedication of their crew who helped make all these
events the success they were.
